So it's Valentine's Day and here I am writing this. The only thing that would be a little better was a glass of red wine in my hand, but unfortunately the ginormous snow dump happening outside is limiting my Valentine's drinking activities to the computer and my bedroom. Not that I'm complaining. As someone whose had their fair share of flings - don't listen to any of my romantic advice and take everything I say veryyy very lightly because if it's not obvious already I am not the best at relationships. Cheers to self sabotage!
Girl get out there and celebrate yourself and your loved ones regardless if it's romantic or platonic. Send your parents some flowers and a card expressing your appreciation for all the years they left little Valentine's baskets on the table with candies. Thanks Mom. Today doesn't have to be about boyfriends/girlfriends/flings/husbands/wives or whatever and honestly today doesn't even have to be anything. It's a Hallmark holiday on the calendar that's a little nudge to show appreciation (or for corporations to suck even more money out of your pocket, but I digress). Even though that should be something that doesn't need a designated date for. Love yourself, love your family, love your friends and love will come - if you haven't found it already. Anyway whatever you're doing for Valentine's Day or whomever your celebrating with don't forget to take a sip for yourself.
